BCP Philosophy

THIS PAGE IS A DRAFT
(March 2007 Update: This page is being split
into subpages and is undergoing heavy editing.)

BCP provides no-cost guidance and support to people who believe they have been affected by paranormal circumstances. We don’t have a scientific, religious or “spiritual” agenda to promote. We respect your religious beliefs. While members of our team might have varied backgrounds, we will not knowingly call in anyone who might compromise that trust.

Since BCP doesn’t have aspirations to capture proof of ghosts (or anything else), we’re not interested in jumping in to a paranormal investigation until we’ve taken time to know you and your particular situation. We’re ready to believe you experienced what you say you did, but we also keep an open mind to non-paranormal explanations for what you experienced.

We’ll correspond through email and chat over the phone. Then we’ll talk some more over coffee at a local restaurant - dutch treat. While we get to know you and your story, we’ll document what you’ve experienced (kept confidential), offering encouragement and maybe even sharing similar stories we’ve heard. In most cases, that’s all that’s needed anyway.

In other cases, there might be ongoing experiences that need to be addressed. If the situation is an emergency (i.e. someone is getting hurt emotionally, spiritually or physically), we’ll move quickly toward getting professional assistance that will stop the immediate harm. Otherwise, we’ll move toward finding an explanation and a solution according to whatever we decide together with you.

If we cannot find an alternative explanation or solution and we’re convinced of the safety of all involved, we will perform a preliminary paranormal investigation. The team will be different depending on what you’ve experienced. A strange animal sighting will require different people and different equipment than a ghostly experience. Investigating clairvoyant dreams will be entirely different from helping to dispel a curse.

We’ll be as discreet and non-invasive as possible. The neighbors won’t even know what we’re doing unless you tell them.

We never use seances, ouija boards or divination techniques like dowsing rods. This helps to ensure our safety and eliminates the fraud that can occur with these practices.

Our priorities are:

  1. Ensuring Our Personal Safety
  2. Ensuring the Safety and Well-Being of the Client
  3. Respect for Religious Orientation
  4. Professional and Scientific Non-Paranormal Inquiry
  5. Obtaining Non-Paranormal Professional Assistance
  6. Ongoing Client Support
  7. Professional and Scientific Paranormal Investigation and Documentation
  8. Exploring Paranormal Solutions

Please contact us if you have any questions or would like more information about our work. We’re open and friendly.
