Even if you have irrefutable evidence that what you’ve experienced is paranormal, there are a number of things you need to be careful about. This isn’t a complete list, just a few things worth mentioning.

The most important first: The paranormal scares children.

There are few cases where it’s necessary to tell your children. Even if your experience was positive in nature you should approach telling your children with excessive caution.

This is especially important with younger children, but your teenager might also be affected in a negative way by your experience.

This applies to other people’s children, not just your own.

Remain open-minded to the idea that your irrefutable evidence may be refutable. Many professional investigators with a lifetime of experience have been mistaken. This doesn’t necessarily invalidate any spiritual aspects of your experience, nor does it mean that you didn’t have a co-occurring paranormal event. (This item will be a full article. Subscribe to the feed to see it when it’s posted.)

Bluff City Paranormal holds the utmost respect for your religion/spirituality, but keep in mind that your religious/spiritual peers and leaders might be unnerved by what you share with them. Others might consider your paranormal experience a sign of mental illness, even if other people experienced the same thing. Be careful about alienating yourself from your religious/spiritual family. This is even more important if you continue to have negative paranormal experiences.

If you have reoccurring experiences (positive or negative), share all your experiences with a friend or family member who believes you. It’s not important to tell many people, but don’t keep your experiences a secret.

If you have been physically injured (very rare), you need to see a physician. We can help you find someone who you can be comfortable being honest with.

Fear and untreated trauma can be destructive to your life.

You don’t have to live in fear. Most people spend their lives with few (if any) paranormal experiences and don’t experience fear around a lingering paranormal presence or fear of recurring experiences. If you are experiencing these things, let people help you overcome these fears.

If you’ve experienced psychological trauma due to your experiences, you should at least speak to a professional psychologist. We can help you find someone who is open-minded and will focus on healing your fear instead of trying to convince you it was your imagination.

This mini-article will probably be expanded upon in a full article.
